There's no provision to put the center mounts there but it would be pretty simple to make a bracket to mount there and hold the visors. The whole setup is pretty simplistic really. If I had seen one prior to buying it for $70+ shipping I'd have made one. The pic of the left side shows that there's just a flat piece that screws in where the visor mount used to be and then a flat piece, the shelf, is just screwed into that. If you want, I can make a drawing of the bracket, not to scale but you can figure that out as you like it, so you can see just how easy it is. You could then make a custom shelf or even just make a guage mount that's mounted in place of the visor. The possiblities are endless.
Here's mine. There is a false roof panel along the front half of the roof above the headliner. It only goes back about halfway. I had to pop rivet an extension on to it to mount the linear. It is high enough to allow me to see out the inside rear view mirror.:
Heres my 'custom' mount... i took the cb apart to get the speaker, drilled holes for the speaker, and installed it where you see the holes beneath the cb...

I really like the drilled holes for the speaker! that looks really good!
You don't have to pull the headliner. If you pull the front of it down just a bit you will feel a ridge about 11/2" wide. you can screw thru the headliner in to that ridge to mount your bracket. Depending on the radio configuration it may be difficult to tip it down enough to see the display well. Wires can be tucked underneath the headliner and run down the pillar.
Hope this helps
im trying to mount a cobra 29 nw ltd on the roof do i just screw strait through the carpet on the ceiling?

and a night shot
what kind of CB is that? i really like the way it looks at night
I have the Cobra night watch also that I plan on mounting to the lower part of the door so I can still use it. I'm hoping I can get it to work as long as I can find a way to get the coax in through the back of the cab. I have a firestick that I am going to mound on a stake pocket mount at the front driver's side pocket.
