High pitch squeal
Today's issue is a high pitch rotating squeal.
I can hear it best when the rear slider is open and I'm giving gas in 1st, 2nd and 3rd.. seems to go away at cruising speed and when off the gas at any speed.. I gave a quick check to the wheel bearings, but i think it's something to do with or related to the drive shaft as it seems to be a rotating rusty squeal.
Also, just had a thought about the serpentine belt, but it was fine at idle with the hood open.
Any help would do.
Thanks
If it's comming from the engine remove the serpentine belt and rotate the pulleys by hand, the bearings in the idler pulleys in particular tend to dry out and die eventually.
