Thumbs up Favorite F150 Package

I was just wondering what everyone's favorite package(s) on the new F150 is/are and why

Mine are the XLT, King Ranch, and the H-D.

The XLT because it is a nice package with all the basic needs met and a few simple features that I will use. I don't need nothing to fancy.

King Ranch simply because it speaks to me. I love farming and ranching. King Ranch is one of my favorite places in the world.

Harley-Davidson because it is a gorgeous package. I LOVE Harleys and wish I could have one. This is probably the best looking package on the F150.

I have to say the platinum seeings i bought one lol but the main reason i liked that over anything was it was a luxery truck that i could use as a dailey driver and also work as a work truck but would not stand out to much that it gets to much attention. Seen to many H-D's with key marks down the side and thats happend to me many a time for having a car that stands out to much. Somebody already tried to key my Platinum but lucky for me it wernt that deep and it polished out.

When i lived in the UK it was bad. Really bad. I had my cars keyed, Side panels kicked in and people jump up and down on the roof. The UK has some proper little sh** heads that find it funny to do stuff like that. I dont see it anywhere near as much here but what i do see is people swinging their car doors open right into another car and just shut the door and walk away. Since being here my Bro in laws Denali was keyed in Myrtle beach SC. My wifes car had a hit and run at wal-mart and my truck was keyed outside the local mall. Not great so far but better than the UK. Some people just have no respect for someones property. If i ever see anyone bang there car door into mine i would kick there door of it's hinges. Dont even ask me what i would do if i caught somone key it.

They're all nice. I'm waiting for the new motors to come out in late 2010, and I'm torn between my two favorites: the FX4 Luxury model and the Platinum. I was going to consider a Lariat to get chrome bumpers for a change, but the huge bumper opening with those black plastic things above the tow hooks totally ruined the look of the bumper (im my opinion), so there's not much chrome compared to the 04-08 front bumper.

Steve you could get those plastic black bits chromed for a very small amount of money. I have some chrome plastic parts on my RC cars and they hold up really well for plastic parts.

Being a conservative person I have always liked the XLT. This time around I would like to purchase a Lariat or a Platinum, however the way Ford has packaged the trims it has made it impossible to get what I want in any one truck. For example, I would like a bright red Platinum W/stone grey interior. I would also like a locking differential, but these are only available in other trims. I would buy a Platinum tomorrow if I could order it in the bright red. I would also buy the Lariat tomorrow if I could get the stone grey interior.

I really like the XLT. I'm a simple man with simple needs. An XLT will get the power train and towing equipment that I want without getting the things that I'm not willing to pay for.

I'm really starting to like the black plastic grill. I saw an XLT coming towards me the other day and my immediate thought was Tundra, then SD, then it got close enough for me to recognize. That's a lot of chrome.

FX4 Luxury to get the locking diff...and still have the plushness of the Lariat

but the HD just says "Buy Me" to me...damn if they aren't pretty and appealing...and especially so if the Supercharged 5.4 or 6.2 becomes an option in the HD. I can live without a locking diff for another Supercharged F-150...they be fun

Mine would probably also be for the XLT. I love that package, especially on the new ones. The grille really sets the truck off very well.

Lariat or King Ranch for good features and nice leather.
FX4 for the locking diff and rugged effect.
Poser award goes to the HD. As far as I saw when I was buying my truck, the trim package was on par with the average Lariat. Its all hype to me I dont get it. The only owners Ive talked to personally dont ride Harleys, thats where the poser award comes in.

I'd have to go with an FX4 crew. I like the ruggedness of the look-wheel flares, bigger tires, I like the flow-through center console with the shifter&black interior. I also like the black grille. The STX 4X4 looks cool too, but I'm not crazy about the smaller motor, and if you pick enough options on a 4X4 STX scab, it ends up being more then an FX4 scab.

I like the center console in all the trim lines over the 60/40 bench. The chrome grille is ok on the XLT and up. If I spent all that loot on a Platnium of King Ranch, I'd be afraid to ever use it as a truck. I test drove a Platnium and while it was cool, the exterior didn't really grab me like the FX4, STX or even the XLT.

I had to get rid of the wife to get a new truck. I chose the FX4 it was the all around better pick for me. I picked the screw 5.5 bed 5.4l 20" wheels. I'd rather have a truck and use it. Than to have one to look at. I love to live!!!! I just don't get some people. They buy a truck and don't use it. Some one answer that for me.

the HD's get different paint schemes, leather, drivetrain (AWD and Superchargers), exterior options...until the 09's debutted, the HD was the cream of the crop IMO

way better than a typical Lariat...but the price tag is rather prohibative

I actually hate Harley motorcylces, but I love the trucks. Ford was extremely smart to snap up that promotion package
