Removed the HPOP to fix the "unserviceable" leak on an 02 7.3L and got it all back together, but the bottom fuel line on the passenger side of the fuel bowl's o-ring was chewed up in the process and leaked when we went to prime the system. Does anyone know what the part number for that would be? I miss those workshop manuals!
Bob (Guzzle) is one heck of a guy to work with. He's very knowledgeable about this o-ring issue (and many other issues as well), and is committed to helping out our family of PSD owners.
Yall 7.3 boys are on yalls game down here in the 7.3L section. I have found so much info in the last week to do this project and pictures at that, thanks to yall. Appreciate all the help
Until now. We got the o-ring kit from Ford ($25 by the way!) and thought since we got them for all of the lines coming to and from the fuel bowl, might as well replace them all with the new ones. Got the one that was leaking nice and sealed. Go to do the top one on the driver side and during the tightening process, it snapped the threaded port completely off. Now we have to do new fuel lines because the threaded port that broke off is now stuck in the fitting with the new oring behind it and we cant get it over the flare at the end of the line!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

That sounds like the fuel return line .. Regulator outlet!
I don't know if anyone has just the FPR housing by itself.
I can't believe how easy it is to snap these off. I may be wrong but from what I have heard, it's new fuel bowl time or regulated return and fuel bowl delete.
If someone knows where you can get just the regulator housing, PLEASE CHIME IN!
(And I'm not talking about the aftermarket port adapters that don't have the regulator.)
The threaded part is replaceable without doing the whole fuel bowl. We're gonna slap it on tomorrow and have another whirl at it. Any advice for replacing the fuel lines? Got the quick release tools, other than that it just seems like some grunt work.
Check out the passenger's 1/4" fuel rail line where it passes through the hold down clip by the turbo pedestal. They have been know to rub and wear a hole from the bracket right at that point.
The quick releases are not that bad, just a matter of holding your tongue in the right position while pushing the release tool in.
There is a performance diesel shop 20 mins down the road that we bought one off a junked engine. He even threw in the fuel lines all for $30 bucks. Ford didnt sell it by itself. Wanted $120 for new fuel bowl
