If your slave cylinder is "popped out" you need to replace it.

if its stuck shut try twisting it around with your hand and press in and out. DONT POP IT OUT!

Add fluid to the master cylinder and bleed.

If this has been sitting w/o fluid in it for a few years id replace the slave and master. they are still available.
The seals dry out in the absence of fluid. and will **** brake fluid when you reuse theese shot parts.

Once again, a slave that has poped out will leak constantly in my experience.
If you are trying to find parts at a auto zone or orillys etc. youd have better luck finding parts in your garbage. They only seem to have modern high volume parts. The sixteen yearold selling them cant tell a selonoid from a realy, and an a** from a hole.
Go find a local parts house thats been around since the 40s or 50s. Talk to the old guy that thinks he's perfect (usualy a jerk) he'll get you the right parts.

OEM master cylinder ha! Ford probobly has'nt sold these since LBJ was the president.

LMC,Concours parts, NPD all have them. About 120 clams for all new master and slave. It appears that rebuild kits are available if you want to save a dollar.

Id just pull on the clutch pedal to get it out. Have a buddy pound on the slave cylinder at the same time it may free the stick. You might break it but its free.

Does the slave cylinder still have the pushrod resting aginst the clutch pivot? That is the bar that goes into the bellhousing to move the clutch.

If yes.-Try pressing the slave cyl piston in. A C-clamp may work, however I belive the pushrod is long and poorly suported so I'd use a hammer.

If no.- you have blown it out. replace the slave cyl.

You add dot 3 brake fluid to the top of the master cyl. I belive they had a bolt on them.

he had blown the clutch in like 83 and half the bellhousing exploaded i got a new bell housing and clutch and fork and made a new rod(thicker) those were all gone. So when he parked it and drained the fluids, (by the way he must of been high )cuz he did a half *** job he left a bit of gas in the tank and fluid in the radiator so maybe when he bleed out the fluid in the brckes and clutch it just didnt "retract" im gunna go try right now and if not a new one ill be looking for!!

You can try putting some fluid in the resivor and bleeding it also. May pop it in from lubrication.

There is no need to drain the brakes and clutch when storing a vehicle. It only opens one up to corrosion issues.
