Seat Question

Hey everyone....

Of course...1000 miles out of warranty my drivers seat has started to squeak....everytime i shift a little in the seat it makes a squeaking sound.

1. anyone had this problem and found a fix???

2. anyone know how to get the seat apart? I haven't had a seat apart since my 95....It can't be too hard...but i figured i'd get pointers before i started....

Thanks everyone..

Nutrisystem? Sorry.

No idea. Are you thinking it's one of the wire springs running across?

It could be a bracket too, but if you think it's the cross hatch metal stuff, I have no idea how the cover comes off. I think they stitch them around the bootm AFTER they slide them over the seat. If I'm wrong, someone else will chime in. Hell, Tylus will probably disassemble his now because curiosity will get the better of him...lol

there should be long black clips that roll over the pan of the seat. they just pull and rotate off. You will know what i mean when you see em. and then I believe the cover just comes off with a little persuasion. I am sure that someone will chime in with a little more. I have never taken them off but my damn clips wont stay on all of the time so i am always clipping them back in.

ain't going there.

I'll mess with motors, sheetmetal and other stuff, but fabrics aren't my thing.

have you tried just lubing the seat tracks? it could be something as easy as no lube

I have the same thing right now with my '04 Super Crew. Last Friday I noticed my driver's seat has started squeaking when I go over bumps.
