pulse amplifier..
I just came back from a local flea market. I saw this guy doing a demo on spark plugs.
He plugged the regular coil wire into the cap, and showed the basic spark. Then he plugged this fuel filter looking thing into his coil plug wire, and the spark multiplied with spark. He said it was a pulse amplifier.
He said he sells them to local part shops too, but due to this flea market being open only on weekends, I am stuck wondering if I can get more info on this. I have done a search on the web, but was wondering if any of you heard of this one.
This guy sells them for like $22 bucks there, and I loved to get one. It's supposed to boost gas mileage and performance.

I think I've heard of these. Basically it is a break in the wire. Therefore the voltage has to be higher to jump the gap. (both in the device and the plug). So basically it has the same effect as taking a plug wire loose and putting it a few mils from the plug tip. Sorry but an unpowered device can't "amplify" your spark.

I always think to myself when I see these snake oil type products, IF it is sooooo good, and cheap, why didn't Ford use it in the first place? Cuz they spent the millions on R&D and came up with the same conclusion most people do, WORTHLESS JUNK!!!
