I have a 1996 f-150 4x4 with the 5.0 My question is has anybody ever seen a kit for a turbo on one of these trucks? I saw a magazine put a turbo on a 95 stang recently with a kit from Cartech. If i can't get a turbo i will probably go with a supercharger.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 10-May-02 AT 04:32 AM (EST)]http://www.turboneticsinc.com/ If you want to put a turbo on something these are the guys that can do it. An urban legend will have it that installing a turbo and routing the pipes is a nightmare. This just isn't true.
With nothing more then basic hand tools and a metal cutting blade there is no reason you cannot install a turbo on a truck in 6-8 hours. Email this place and they'll be glad to help you. I've seen their products in action (both on drag cars and haulers) and they are in my opinion the best around.
PS. people talk about the turbo lag......what was the fast (in 1/4 times) of all autos sold in the US in 1990-91?
Answer. The GMC Syclone Turbo 4x4 TRUCK (yes it was even faster in the 1/4 mile then the vette and porche!).
