Electric brake wiring problem

I have purchased a used 2004 Ford F250 that came with a brake controller, the standard 7pin rv connector and a 6pin goose neck connector in the bed. When I tow using the 7pin to 4 flat adapter everything is fine. When I plug my RV in to the factory 7pin connector and press the brake my speedometer goes to 10mph and the doors lock as if I were moving but I'm not moving at all. It does this in any gear position except reverse. I have not tried anything yet hoping some has seen this issue and can tell me how to fix rather quickly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Sounds like a bad ground to me. I would check the 7 pin plug first on the front side, loose wire or maybe the gravel cut a wire off. Did you just grease the trailer ball? Colin

There are two wiring patterns for the 7 pin connectors. One of the pins that changes is the brake power pin. I bet the truck is wired one pattern and the trailer is the second pattern therefore causing weird stuff to happen.
