Freeze plug bad?

Truck in the sig
Fired up the truck and coolant started spewing out. I belive it is a "freeze plug?" It is dirrectly above the front of the starter. It looks to be about 3/8" big. There is a sensor dirrectly above it. What is this, why is there nothing in it. What size and what do I need to get at the parts store?
Edit- has a block heater, that may possibly be the sensor above.

Never heard of a freeze plug that small usually around 1 and1/4 inches 3-4 per side. could be a threaded plug hole for a sensor mt. Plug may have vibrated out. Can you get to it with a flash light or trouble light to tell better?

Sorry, ya it was a mount i think. I had a friend over today and it is actually the plug with the block heater. I supose i will just get rid of the block heater and replace that plug so I dont have to worry about it again. Still not sure what that little hole was, will have to wait til i have time to rip out the starter and get the plug fixed.
