I have an 05 f250 crew cab. My front passagner window will roll down using either front switch but will not roll up. I removed my front passagner switch put it on the back door and it works fine. So I believe my switch is ok. I then I unplugged the power cord going to the window motor and measured 12 volts when trying to roll the window up or down. You can here the motor make a little noise when you try to roll the window down, but it does not make any noise when trying to roll it up. I think my motor may be shot. Any Ideas? Anybody had anything similar happen. The widow is now all the way down. I tried pulling it up while using the switch but that did not help.
The track may need some cleaning and greasing. If your in a cold climate, the grease could be congealed and making it difficult to move in either direction, but down has the help of gravity.
While it's not a good test, try metering the resistance. I would expect around 6ohms or so, for a 2amp draw. A motor has an inductive quality so it's not an exact way to measure this, but if it's significantly more or less, your motor has an issue.
