The 5.4l 3 valve engine 2008 early build and older engines used the spark plugs that tend to break, That version should have black coil boots. The 2008 late build and newer use fully threaded plugs, this version should have brown coil boots. The 4.6l 2 and 3 valve engines for 2009 have not seen any issues.
