surging when i shift

surging when i shift

Just wondering if anyone had any ideas on my problem. My 99 surges when it up shifts, it won't do it as much if i really lay on it, but it WILL if i take it easy. I have the garrett turbo upgrade, volant CAI, edge programmer and exaust is done.( it did do this before the programmer).
If anybody has any ideas please let me know.

Is the surge something you can feel or just something you can hear? A cold air intake will make some noise during shifts.

i think your hearing un used air getting pushed back out your air filter...surge will make your boost gauge bounce and sound like a pressure cooker doing its very rapid chatter...
