Adding auto headlights

I am adding autoheadlights to my 03 xlt.
I have a switch that is confirmed working, and a new sensor with no luck.
Both parts work in wifeys excursion but not in mine.

I do know that I tried to get a keyless entry and had no luck do to a module missing.

So I went ahead and got an alarm to solve the keyless issue but I think this module or electronic package may be blocking my lamps from working.

I am going to a scrap yard early next week for other reasons and hope to yank one out of a wreck.

Any help is appreciated.

Maybe a pcm from a truck with auto lights ? Sort of like the ol' early/late 99 cruise control light debacle ? Just a thought from a very bored gravedigger
