I have a 2001 f250 with a 7.3 and I live on long island and I go to school in upstate new york. I am thinking of making a switch to shell rotella synthetic 5w-40 from ams oil 15-40 syn and I am looking at going with a Baldwin filter. I was wondering if i am making the right choice. I also figured why I was down there I would install a fumoto quick drain valve. Thanx for your input.
You willbe really happy with the Rotella Syn. I just changed over and then ran a 3K mile trip to FL and back. The engine starts much quicker and is much quiter than the Dino. I use Motorcraft filters, but Baldwin is a decent one also.(IMO)

I have been thinking about switching from Shell Rotella T syn to Amsoil
There is nothing wrong with Shell, I just want to run Amsoil in auto trans, and fr/r diffs, too!
