i have a 79 351m and i was wondering what i could do to this motor. my friend who is works down at a local shop told me to bore it as far as it can goe what would you guys do?

Convert the engine to a 4 barrel carb. rebuild it with a 400 crank and pistons and install whatever high performance parts you can locate, headers, ignition etc.

A lot of people do .040 on these motors, .060 is pushing it (not possible on every block). You'll find a lot of information here: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum54/, as this forum here is specific to 73-79 trucks with many different motors.

convert it to 400" with Tim Meyers pistons, add Aussie 302C heads
