Hopefully this will be simple to answer. We dropped the 4.9L 6cyl from a '91 F150 into a '94 F150. The knock sensor got broken and when we went to get a new one we were told it is an obsolete part and can't get one. Is this true? Thanks for the help.

It'll run without it, just make sure your timing is correct and EGR is
working as it should be. I run my Turbo cars with the KS unhooked,
all it does is throw a code during the KOER test...
