hey guys i think i have a small problem. so it was really windy here to day and trees started to fall to the ground and there a few big dead trees were my buddie keeps his boat. so i had to move it outa the way of the trees falling so that it dident get hurt. i had to use my ranger because it is the only truck that i have right now. ita 88 4x4 2.9 with an auto. truck pulled it stright just fine. when i went to back it up is when the trubble started the trans started to slip. should i try and drain the trans and put new in or leave it till it dies and put a new trans in. i have had people tell me that they had the same truck drained the fluid and for a few miles it was fine but then it just got worse. what do i do? also the truck takes a min to switch into drive or any other gear from park. could this be a sencer?
bye the way the boat was a 22 ft at 3700 pounds.
the truck is a 88 ford ranger 4x4 2.9 with a 187.000 miles on it one owner and very well taken care of..
Just my opinion.
