Why don't my Utube video's work right for me?

Every time I try to watch a video on Utube it will play for a few words then quit for quite a while, play a few more words, then quit for a while... and this goes on throughout the whole video. I end up not watching it because it's so frustrating. Does anyone know why my computer (aol dial up) won't play Utube video's for me and do you have any suggestions as to how I can make it work right? Thanks.

dial up is the issue, the vid plays faster then your internet can down load it. what you can do is stop it right after it starts and wait until it's almost totally downloaded (you will see a bar across the bottom that will show the progress) then start it again.
Warning dial up takes a long time to download even a short video though

That trick does work, and you can make it a little better.

- After you pause it ,you can put your mouse over progress dot, and push it back all the way to the start.

- Also, I think that you can let it run all of the way to the end before you bother to watch it. So, you can probably do that in one window, and chat with your buds on FTE in another one while you wait for it to finish up!

Great advice. I appreciate it. One of these days I'll switch to high speed.
