03 6.0 vs 06 6.0 ? 9 hrs to makeup mind

I have now a f350 cc lariat 4x4 6.0 with 130k
in 9 hrs i will go sign and pickup the same truck only it is a 06 with 61k on it. Am i jumping from the frying pan into the fire here ?
Will this be a wise choice ? Oasis report on the 06 looks clean.?

As always i would like to thank those of you that respond in advance.

Keep what you've got! If you've been trouble free you have a lot more life left.

I say if the oasis is clean, do it. The 05+ are a much improved platform over the previous 99-04 platforms. Better brakes, beefier frames, better towing and hauling capabilities, (if it matters to you because it didnt for me) a better ride due to the coil sprung frontends , tow command system(awesome!), the list goes on and on....

First this is the 6.4 forum.

But why would you go from 1 6.0 to another. Pretty stupid if you ask me, which you did. IMO go to a 6.4 or keep the 03.

#1 i heard the 6.4 suck fuel like crazy.
#2 i heard that the early 6.0 had alot of issues.
#3 i bought my 03 in sept of 08 and already put appx. $2400.00 in to her....she did have 130k
#4 she was a plow truck that came with plow but the front end was sunk down..even with the plow off
#5 there was a few nice dents and scratches.
#6 i heard the 06 6.0 was a better setup with internal mods to motor.
#7 the 06 has 61k and the balance of warranty.
#8 the 06 has a full long bed vs the 03 a short box.
#9 the 06 is alot cleaner in and out.
#10 the 03 was 14k tax and tags included vs the 06 is 25k with tax and tags included.
#11 the 06 sounds a whole bunch healthier than the 03 shifting everything.
--------ladys and gentleman i went with the 06 so far love it!-----

Good choice. You did a good thing.

I totally disagree with BLK94F150. I think his statement was uncalled for. Not a stupid move at all.

Ditto that. I ignored the rest of the post when I saw his sig. Good choice on the truck. My '05 has been great and I think you'll find the difference in suspension, brakes, etc. a worthwile improvement. Kudos on getting another great truck!

I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion, silly or not. Do you have a 6.0? Work on them? I wouldn't say it's "stupid". Maybe the OP likes the 6.0, just not the one he had. Nothing against the 6.4, but it does have ALOT more emissions crap on it. AND the newer 6.0 comes with some warranty left, good choice IMO. Good luck with your "new" 6.0

I wasnt comparing motors. Dont want to turn this into 7.3 vs 6.0 thread. He is comparing 6.0's in different truck platforms. To say that the 05 and up trucks arent an overall better truck is just crazy. The 250 in my sig is rated to tow more than any DRW 350 configuration from 99-04. Even though i drive a 6.0, still love the 7.3's
