Close Enough?

Hey, I have a 1985 F-150, 2WD, AOD Tranny, 302 EFI, Ford 8.8 Rear end, 4" Rough Country lift.

Here are some questions I have, I know it seem dumb; but I am thinking of buy a parts truck. But not the same model, I'm thinking about going with a 1987-1991 F-150 / Bronco for parts. Main reasons are followed:

1. Serpentine Belt Drive ( Yes I know about the water pump swamp)
2. I want to make my truck 4x4, are they the same other than maybe the shift ****?
3. Steering colium (other than wheel it-self) is the same correct?

Like I said, may be a dumb thought, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.

What engine is in the Bronco? I personally am not crazy about the serpentine setup, though you have no choice with all the new vehicles. One little plastic idler pulley is all they use, and if it goes bad, you are stuck. A/C clutch goes bad, you are stuck again.

I'm not looking at a certain truck yet, but I would get it with another 302 EFI for engine parts too.

The 4x4 stuff would be the same, almost a bolt on deal, just a lot of work. The newer EFI stuff would be totally different though, 85-86 were kind of ******* years for FI. You would be okay swapping the other stuff though.
