Alright, last weekend my roommate got a virus that completely killed his hard drive so he had to get that fixed. well within a day i ended up with a virus that is just killing my computer but i think that Norton is keeping it under control enough where it doesnt cause complete system failure. Heres my problem, i have run the programs they say to use and the one that a friend of ours who works with computers mentioned but it is not getting the virus off. Does anyone have insight on a virus called Trojan.Brisv.A!inf and how to get rid of it? Im at school right now so i can not drop it off to him but maybe this weekend if we cant get it off i can send it back when i meet up with my parents. Is anyone able to help me out here or am i just screwd? Thanks

1. Google Trojan.Brisv.A!inf from a known 'clean' pc.
2. Go to Malwarebytes.com (on a 'clean' pc) and download the program, "Malwarebytes" (FREE!) to a flashdrive.
3. Boot infected pc, install and run Malwarebytes.
That should eradicate that pig.
You may have to run the pc in "Safe Mode" first. Then run it in "Normal Mode".
thanks, i ran the symantec the other day in safe mode and it came up negative and i was running malwarebytes and it locked up on me not allowing the computer to end the process or anything. this is definately a strange deal.
