Front Suspension Problem
I'm not very familiar with 4x4 issues so I'm not real sure what the problem is. While driving at speeds around 35-40mph, I notice a slight "clunking" in the front end. Kind of sounds like when you first engage 4wd and you feel it kick in. I thought something broke loose, like a stabilizer link or something. I looked underneath and couldn't find anything wrong. The only thing I found was that the front driveshaft has a little play in it. I can grab it and rotate it slightly. I can't do that with the rear driveshaft. That one is tight. Is this normal in the front driveshaft? Could something be loose or worn in the transfer case? I'm really in the dark here. I wish I could be more descriptive, but thats about all I can say about it.
