2002 4wd pulling to right, hard, uneven tire ware on passenger side, none on driver. New brakes, does it sometimes at braking, but not usually. Never pulled this bad before, it I let the wheel go; that is it. Alot of slack in the wheel also, steers like a covered wagon.
Sounds like a ball joint to me... Jack up the front end of your truck, have a buddy look at your ball joints while you stick a pry bar in your rim and try and move the wheel up and down... If it does move then they are bad... The reason you need your buddy to look at the ball joints is because there could be play in your hub. But the tire wearing funny makes me think it is a ball joint. Not a bad bearing in your hub.
I second the ball joints especially with the wear and steering issues. Pulling to the right could also come from a brake caliper hanging up on the right side. The slide pins need to be in good shape and greased well before the new brakes went in.
