anyone else have this happen

was in getting the windows tinted and the guy moved the rearview mirrir down and "pop" it comes off of the little ball. the dealer is sending up to ford to see if there is an issue with it happening. just wondering if it has happened to anyone else??

Sometimes things fall through the cracks and a sub-par part comes through. Don't get too upset, but you would expect someone should have caught it.

Isn't the rear view mirror supposed to be removable? They have to remove it whenever the windshield is replaced...

yeah from the little piece on the windhield not the ball where it pivots
