Im looking for an 04 F150 4x4 screw with round 80,000 to 100,000. i will settle for a supercab. also im looking for the 5.4 mainly because most say the other engines still get about the same gas mileage so the 5.4 is worth it for the bigge power, and many have told me the FX4 would be a better buy beens it is going to be 4wheel drive over the XLT package becuase of the plating underneath. the blue book for this truck is around 11 give or take up or down alittle depending on the webiste. but me and family member thats a mechanic and buys vehicles at auctions all the time is going with me and im hoping to be able to get it for 8 thousand cash. what r my chances.

well i get about 15-17 with my 5.4, what do you mean by the fx4 is 4x4 over the xlt?
srry it was a typo 4by4 ia going to be on there no matter what but ive been told that the FX4 would be better to get then the XLT package because its about the same money and beens the vehicle will be 4wheel drive than the skiding plating will come in use. basically i was just wondering the thoughts on being able to get one for 8 thousand dollers, because it blue books for around 11 give or take a thousand up or down so by being at the auction with my mechanic would i be able to get around 8. jus wondering what everyone else though srry bout the confusion
fx4 is a really nice truck and well worth the money its got the skid plates and all the other fancy stuff like that...i got the xlt...it fit in the budget...it works just fine in the mud for me
also for $8,000-11,000 for an fx4 i would expect at least 80,000 miles and some plugs that may need to be changed and if its an 04 like mine the rearend got rebulit by ford at the start of last month..but my 04 screw has been a work horse wouldnt trade it for any other 1/2 ton other than a fx4 maybe
do u think i could find this at an auction for 8 due to the fact of usually gettin things a few thousand dollers cheaper at an auction if u kno what to look for and your patient
if your in the right place at the right time and know the right people...just give it a good up down before you sign the papers...find a truck with the lowest milage if possible..but ya its possible
The way the economy is now you may be able to pull the deal off. But, like slomafarms said above, go over it real well with your mechanic before you sign the papers! Good luck and let us know how you make out........
