I would like to replace my current single exhaust system with a new, high flow unit. I would like to come off the manifolds, combine with a Y pipe, go into a high flow cat, and into a flowmaster. My question is: What size pipe should I go with for a single exhaust on a 351W? Im staying with a single system because of money, and space under the truck. I currently have two old cats and 2 1/4" pipe.
Any suggestions and input is appreciated!
Thanks
I would think that 3" would be perfect. 2 and 1/4" seems like it would be best for dual exhaust, but too constrictive for single. I'm not certain, just my opinion.
my sugestion is to go with the 2 1/2 dia.
it will allow more flow and a 40 series dual chamber flow master would sound great 3" pipe probably wont do u much good as for the rest of your exhaust system is allready restricted
