tested the 2003 7.3
Took the truck on a 2500 mile trip over the last month to Florida. Pulled a Jayco Eagle 5'ver maybe 9000#. Averaged 11.5 mpg at around 60 to 65 mph. No apparent oil consumption. I am well pleased. This truck had 122,000 miles on it when I bought it, so I have been a little nervous about it.
I quit driving with the cruise on in hilly country as the up shifts came a little rough. I just let up on the accelerator and pushed the button and the up shifts are a lot smoother. Thanks for all the help you guys have been. Still learning from the pros. Jim
