Cat that barks
OK guys, here's the deal. My 1991 F-250 has a strange exhaust noise. Both at idle and when revved up, there is a "rattling" noise that seems to be coming from the cat. I assume this is not normal? What does a noise like this normally mean? Could the material inside the cat (whatever's in there) have broken up or something like that? It's not a big deal but the sound is very annoying so any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Check the shielding around the cat. Mine rattled pretty bad untill everything from the preconverter back 'fell off' in my driveway last weekend.
