does any one know
can any one tell me whats the average mileage you get out of a 7.3 powerstroke,not miles per gal, and also do you know if there is a deferance between a pre 97 7.3 powerstroke and a later 7.3 powerstroke, im getting ready to buy a truck my first diesel and i cant buy a newer one, all the ones im looking at have 150 to 200 k on them i dont want to buy something thats going to need a motor soon im a ford man but all my friends have dodges some of them have 500 k on them thanks mike huntersmith57@yahoo

The 99 up powerstrokes where intercooled and wastegated turbos. It is not uncommon to get 500k plus out of these engines if well cared for. I have a 97 powerstroke with 293K miles on it and it runs perfect.
