Help

1988 F150 lariat 4x4 5.0 EFI

Anyone know where the power comes from to fire the coil ?
I Cant get a spark.
Replaced w/New - Distributor, Module, - Coil.-all new.
Cap, rotor,- good-wires good.
Motor will crank
But will not fire
No spark from plug wires,- No spark from coil wire.

This thing crapped out on me a week ago, been battling with it since.
Wondering if Ignition switch down on column would have any reason to interfere with coil firing??
- Any Suggestions greatly appreciated

YA Know what?..-never mind,- I'm done with this ***-backward computerized way of getting from point A to Point B..

I look into the foolishness beneath the hood of my 22 year old truck and all I see is Politics covering a internal combustion engine in the form of wires, relays, sensors, fuel injection,Regulators, emissions..nonsense controlled by a computer.. diesels don't have emissions...??
To make what? the vehicle harder to work on?..or give it a reason to have an inspection sticker??-yes.-Politics.
Before this country takes my job, the food out of my family's mouth, and then my life, I'm going to find me a truck from 1965 or before, with no options, and NO EMISSIONS, and pump the atmosphere with non-cat green house gases until they hunt me down and take my truck away, but only by prying the steering wheel from my cold dead fingers.

Hasta La Vista Boys, .....I'm Comin' Home !

just run a hot wire to coil from battery and see if it will run, im betting u have either a bad fuseable link or maybe a broken wire at relays

Uhm, this has nothing to do with emissions.

If you have a multimeter, measure the potential at the low voltage side of your coil, I bet it's zero.
