I know you guys are probably gretting sick of this, but what would a 300 sound like with a Hooker muffler? This muffler is not a glass pack, it's just a normal looking muffler with the entrance towards the driverside, and the exit in the middle. My dad ordered it for his 390, but he sold it, and ended up with three Hookers from J.C. Whitney. (their mistake in ordering) He decided to get his money back, so he returned his two mufflers, and kept the one. My dad said something about this muffler being a high performance one, but i'm not exactly buying that story. If it's quiet then it's going back on the shelf, and i'm getting a glass pack.
Thanks for any replies, and don't tell me it'll sound like a motor boat!!! lol :-)

Most 6 cylinders sound wierd with performance
mufflers, but it depends on which type of 6 it is
straight 6's do sound kind of like a motorboat now
that you mention it.but a V6 might sound better.
I have a 65 falcon straight 6 that is dualed out
and it almost sounds like a small block V8. Order
up another muffler and get it dualed starting at the head pipe. if it is a V6 ,you can also dual
it and gain a great sound and some better breathing
Have fun,and good luck!!
