I have a 2002 f-250 with 115,000 miles that just started having issues starting and running. Sometimes it will start just fine but die within a few seconds and other times it will never start at all. The fuel pump seems to be running when I turn on the key. I also changed the fuel filter but it did not help at all. Where should I look next?
Shimmy, shake very rough, white smoke.
If you have not replaced the CPS, I highly advise you go buy one tomorrow and replace it. It is a recall issue but it's easier to do it yourself than spend the day at the dealer.
See this link for instructions, a very quick, easy replacement.

I hope this is the prob, if not, let us know.
I went this morning and the dealer replaced mine in 43 minutes.
Many thanks, you were right, swapped out the cps, and it runs like a top, only thing now is it has to turn over 4 or 5 times before it hits where as before it would hit after only one or two, any thoughts?
