how do I time my injector pump

So maybe this was realy stupid but the housing where my pump bolts on was leaking oil so I removed it without thinking about what position it ought to be in when it went back on. how do I put it back in the right position? thanks, Chris

Its not hard the gear on the pump only fits one way and there is a mark on the pump look at the gear on the pump and in the eng you will see that . turn the gear on the pump so it will mate with eng line up mark and it will run there will be alot of air in the fuel system .Mine took awhile to bleed before it started but I have good batteries. Good luck

It is a HUGE deal if you remove the IP gear!!! You must line up the "Y" on the IP gear to the "Y" on the cam gear. And it is impossible to see the mark inside the motor.

"Talk about Timing!!"

If he removed the pump from the housing he should be fine, if he removed the housing he has a problem.
