Axle/Leaf Spring U-Bolt Question

What is the correct type nut to use for the axle/leaf spring u-bolts? I purchased a block kit that didn't come with nuts included. I didn't give it a whole lot of thought went ahead and installed them with just some regular grade 5 9/16ths fine thread nuts from the local hardware store, but I'm concerned that I should have went with something stronger. Since I've already torqued the u-bolts that came with the kit, I'm planning on replacing them and the nuts. I've seen some u-bolt kits that come with deep nuts and some that come with just regular nyloc nuts. What do you guys suggest? Or am I making a big issue out of nothing?

Thanks

I'd go with deep grade-8 nuts. Actually I'm about to tackle the same job next week, no big lift but 1" F450 overload spacers + my regular packs + dual overloads, so still pretty long U-bolts.

You absolutlly(?) need to change those nuts--grade 5 is nowhere near strong enough for a suspension application---you should be okay with the u-bolts though--unless you torqued them with a hydraulic toque machine--assuming this is something you just did--not 6 or more months ago--
New u-bolts should always come with nuts and washers in most cases--
