From the manual :
  1. [IMG]file:///C:/TSO/tsocache/OFFICE_4004/SVO~us~en~file=ani_caut.gif~gen~ref.gif[/IMG] CAUTION: Failure to follow the next step of this procedure could result in bent valves, causing severe engine damage.
    Rotate the engine until the mark on the crankshaft damper is at 11 o'clock to prevent valve damage when installing the intake rocker arm and exhaust rocker arm.
  1. Install the push rods.
  1. Install the intake rocker arm or exhaustrocker arm.
  1. Install the two rocker arm bolts. Tighten rocker arm bolts evenly to 27 Nm (20 lb-ft).
  1. Install the valve cover gasket.

It allows the lifter to bleed down oil during install if its pumped up.

Any idea how that works Bill. Obviousely something must line up with something to open a passage or something...

The lifters will be aligned in their bores to allow the oil
to bleed back into the oil supply.
