At what milage sould you wait for before changing to syn oil? I have 10350 on my 07 6.0 PS. When I use it it is mainly towing heavy trailers on my small beef farm or my Lance camper and it sit mostly all winter.

You could switch the day u bought her or u better switch now if u haven't changed oil yet. No need to break in on dino oil. I don't run syn oil in my diesels but i do in all my SD gassers and 4 wheelers. Mobile one comes in all new cads and vetts so it can't be too bad. The mith about breaking in on dino and changing later is all bs. Run what suites you.

Agreed, do it whenever you'd like.
Do a search on here to determine what syn you would like to use.

I agree with all above. I normally only run factory oil for 500 miles then switch. It doesn't take long for the rings to seat so you can switch at will. As to what kind of oil that is a debate in itself.

I'd stay with conventional oil and use Rotella or any other blend specifically designed for diesel engines.
