I have a black 2006 F150 XLT Extended cab 4wd. So far I have bought an AS 2.5" front level kit, 3" AS rear lift kit, Magnaflow 16616 and HD head/taillights. I am looking to get a different grille. I have the black honeycomb style stock grille. I was looking at the Saleen S331 grille, but I dunno if I like it now. I was also was looking at this one: http://www.grillcraft.com/applications/2006_Ford_F150_(honey-comb_factory_grille).aspx/1|7/78/
I really like the black monotone look. To bad I have chrome bumpers. How do you think those grilles would look? Any suggestions? TIA
I also agree, it looks like it should have a billet surround maybe? I will tell you this that I do like the billet style grill better. There is another billet grill that is completly polished. It could be the HD, theres one at Summit Racing called the virtual grille by PUTCO. It sells for $97.95. The part number is 71142 .Go to summitracing.com Honestly this one would look great on your truck especially because its black. Hope this helps with your decision.
Yeah, you're right about the Blue Oval. I never really noticed that before. I'm disliking the Saleen S331 grille more and more.
I did find a pic of the Roush Nitemare however, and I really like the grille (even though its black). I'm stuck on the black theme.
Does anybody have any pics of a dark colored truck with a bright (chrome, polished, ect) billet grill? I think I need more persuading LOL!
My truck is the Dark Blue Pearl, and this is the Roush Grille, I love it especially for $100 from Roush overstock. And install is super clean and easy.
depends on the look you're going for. personally, I don't like the look of black HD headlights with chrome bumpers, looks much better with painted to match bumpers. but I guess a chrome grille would go better with your setup.
And you could always reattach your Ford emblem to almost any grille. Either you can rig up a bracket, or just use some strong 3M double-sided tape. I used 3M tape to attach the emblem on my black billet grille, and it's been holding fine for over 4 years now. That $100 Roush grille actually comes with a bracket to reattach the emblem.
3M Will hold in on of even some JB WELD. Either one, you want be taking it off more than likely and it will only fit a FORD unless you are good modifier. I have used the heavy duty 3m on several emblems with no problem. I like the emblem on the grill.

Yes, I agree with the HD lights and the chrome bumper. I really like the monochromatic look. I eventually want to put black bumpers on (or paint mine). I really like that chrome Roush grille, though. Unforunately, choosing a grille is like buying a pair of shoes. You don't really know how it will fit until your wear them. I wish I was competent at Photoshop LOL.
I appreciate all the input fellas! You guys have some good ideas. Now I just have to convince the wife LOL!
