Tried to post this earlier and must have had an error on my part due to rules. Sorry, but here it is again. I know that the drone has been and issue for allot of people and would like to share my fix:
Not to say this is for everone but I have solved my drone of the exhaust. All aftermarket exhaust will have some DRONE but Hooker Aerochambers by Hooker claim to have little or no drone. I took my magnaflow DIDO off and installed 2 Hookers using my existing setup by sandwiching the mufflers. I did this due to the center center measurement of the DIDO. Turned them vertical and used the factory tailpipes out the passengerside. Might could have accomplished this with the 2 magnaflows. These mufflers are black so for you got have the bling folks you will not like them but the sound is great in the cab. All I hear at times andthis is not at the RPM that my drone was is performace exhaust. Did not install the H/X Pipe. I didn't think this would fix my drone so did not waste my time and $$ on the X/H. At this point I can always install that. As far as the black you could always paint them with alum. High heat pnt. I had the same problem on a 2005 with the drone and there again I HAD INSTALLED a flowmaster DIDO and changed that time to 2 dynomax but still had some drone. This time the Hookers did the trick. It may not be loud enough for some of on the curb but at this point I will live with this because the drone was to much for me. When younger the drone wasn't that bad. Open headers weren't bad either running down the freeway at that time. GOOD LUCK, I'M HAPPY.

Now that the drone is gone wondering if I should install my X. The magnaflow DIDO had this built in. Will it make that much difference with the Supercharger? Got to decide soon due to my Troyer upgrade coming. Any thoughts.
Install of X as indicated. Seems to have picked up throttle response. Wonder if the scavenging affect leaned the Supercharged mtr down enough for that. One thing for sure is the install brought some drone back. Sure would not have thought that. It's not as bad as it was with the DIDO but it is for sure back.
I was wrong about the sound of the aerochambers. The X did make the sound much better. Had someone do a drive by at WOT and they sound off quite well. Had to go by the police station yesterday to renew my Gun permit. There's a stop sign just about a block down from it and as I left from the stop I gave a little push of the gas, not knowing the police were standing outside, and yes the officer made comment of the exhaust when I pulled in. Said he saw and heard me coming. Then stated it was not too loud but was quit noticeable.
At this point I will live with the drone. My upgrade will be here sometime next week. This will make things much better, making more boost will make more whine to go with that exhaust sound.
