Quiet exhaust
How much would i lose if i went from true duals with 18 inch glasspacks to true duals with factory type mufflers, wouldan edelbrcok carb do anything more over my factory holley/motorcrafty 4bbl, i got a 351 with no emissions #####, i get about 14-16 mpg now with a c6 3.50 gears and 33's

Quiet exhaust
Actually you'll gain Better gas mileage and more horsepower.If you want even more of that you should go with Flow Master mufflers they sell for around $250+ 375 But I can get you one for $90+130.Dual Exhaust Lets your moter breath better,But glass-paks don,t stop back-pressure completly.The Flow Masters do.The caddlic-Converters stop back-pressure for getting to the moter,but they slow the flow of exhaust down.With the glass-paks you'll need those converters.Now the Flow Masters don't need those confertres just have the BACK,or SECOND conferter removed,but KEEP the smaller conferter on.You'll need another one for the other one.and this allows the moter to breath even better.But makes yor mufflers Alot louder.But if thats not what you want then get a Super-Flow c-converter W/ dual in&outputs.Ifyou Have any Questions E-mail me at purtex@wnonline.net Brandon

i appreciate your responce but im lookin to quiet the truck down. when i got it it had true duals with 40 series flowmasters and convertors, first i cut off the convertors and i still was nothappy with the sounds she made, (i only like flowmasters on a built ##### big block), so i put the 18 inch glasspacks on it and noticed a slight increase in all around power, no annoying resonance, and a better sound, then i stripped the rest of the emissions crap from the motor so itis pretty bare now, anyway, im lookin to quiet the truck down all the way since i cant hear the exhaust in the cab anywayi think having it quiet would be good for hunting and stuff, i got my 79 f-250 with that 429 in it to listen to now=)

i think i found a good exhaust guy too, on my dads 84 f-150 he ran true 2 inch duals out the bafk with 30 inch glasspacks for 130 bucks, and he does a good job, all welded and no corners are cut
