Transmission filter/fluid
Ok this is on my 97 F150 XLT 4x4 automatic with the 4.6. Truck has 115k on it.
I looked up the transmission filter online at autozone. It lists 3 different ones. I know one was a different tranny than the one I thought I had. IT also has some with different bolts 16 or 20 I think. Then deep pan or shallow pan etc...
Can someone point me in the right direction.
Also, what kind of fluid should I use, and who makes the TC addetive I keep reading about that keep the shutter from happening. From my search a lot trucks have that issue, I'd like to make sure that does not happen to mine.
Do recomment doing the filter/fluid change or should I just take it and get it flushed for $90?
