1996 Ford Explorer Problem
I have a 1996 Ford Explorer Problem
I just had the A/C compressor switched out and the mechanic also changed the oil for me.
Since then, and never before this, i have been hearing a ticking sound only when i accelerate and as i accelerate faster the sound gets louder/faster. This occurs for about 20 minutes and after that it disappears. It has also been unseasonably cold down here in south florida for the last week (the duration of the problem). Im looking for any help anyone can give me.

so im sitting in my house and my ceiling fan begins to make a squeaking sound that many fans commonly make.....
im thinking my engine sound is somewhat similar, though louder, which could be for any number of reasons such as higher rpms and load but maybe this could help diagnose the issue....

how can i check the belt, idler or tensioner pulley?
