Cuttin' The Cat
Yeah,
I Have a 95' F-150 351cid. My front Cat is plugged solid. (partly cuz there is 230,xxx miles!!!) I was wondering if there is any help anyone can give on replacing this cat. Im going to cut the second cat off and replace it with pipe. It has a good tone but it isnt very loud. Any Help is greatly apprecieated.. Thanks

Why cut it when you can get a high quality single cat high flow system brand new? The old convertor will probably come apart and plug your muffler up. I had a 6 in my truck originally and the front cat came apart and plugged the rear convertor solid. Same thing happened after my engine swap with the stock dual convertor setup from a 91 F-150. So I pulled the two convertors and installed a single high flow cat, and all is well.
1988 F-150, SWB, 5.0 EFI (formerly 4.9 EFI), M5OD 5 speed, 3.08 gears, Summit shorty truck headers, Custom built Flowmaster exhaust system. Force 4 LP6000 lightbar, Federal signal PA-300 100 watt siren, Icom IC-V100 50 watt mobile radio.

1965 F-100 (just purchased 1/18/01), SWB, 390, C-6 auto. Dual exhaust, Not much else to do to it.
