the fuel pressure regulator shim just allows you to run larger injectors and chips that need more fuel. other wise shimming your FPR will only allow the truck to run slightly more efficiently, but that's all you will get. no noticable power increase..
Its what people do if your fuel pressure is low 30-40psi, it can boost it to where it needs to be. You dont wanna go over 70 from what I hear. There is a schrader valve on the side of the FPR thats attached to the filter housing, check your pressure there. If it is low you can put a standard BB under the spring inside the FPR. Dale at Tymar strongly recomended against doing this, told me "If the pressure is low, there is a reason behind it. Fix the problem don't mask it." But a lot of guys do it everyday, I havent heard anything negative about it yet, other than that quote.
