Unhappy This is weird!!!

Ok, so when i am at full throttle going for a second and then come off it completly and then get back on it all the way, the truck seems like it has this rev limiter for a second and feels like something is restricts it from reving back up normally for a second(like the power is cut in half momentarly). This only happens when i am flooring it for a couple seconds and then let off the throttle and get back on the throttle.

2. Thing is that i have had this weird thunk in front end when i get on the brakes or when backing up sometimes. Mybe a ball joint or something... The sound comes and goes.... and it really feels like its under me feet when it happens.

3. thing is there a recall for if the truck starts to spit out antifreeze somethimes when its parked?? Also when i am at idle the heat goes away, and when the truck starts to rev up the heat comes back strong.

Any help to my 3 questions would be much apperciated.

that "thunk" just might be the driveline spline in need of lube. This seems to be a common concern.

could be lube like he said but i doubt it. check the u-joints for play. also lift up your trucks front end and move the wheel side to side an up and down. any movement felt could be a failed component. side to side if you here something could be steering linkages, un and down if you here something could be ball joints or a internal non servacable wheel bearing. if you here something from up and down have somebody watch the ball joints to see if they move. and next up your heater concern. because you have a coolent leak your system probably isnt compleatly full at times. air bubbles can find funny places to hide i.e. your heater core. try bying a "rad kit plus" this tool will pull a vacuum on the system to pop out any air bubbles while simultaniously giving you the option to suck in some more coolent. and as for your leak have it taken in and checked

As for your item 1, this could be normal. I have seen it also. Once the turbo is spooled up, if you let off the throttle it will quickly spool back down. If you then get back on the throttle, it will take some time for it to spool back up again.

Others may also chime in, but that would be my first guess.

At this link you can see what is intailed for the Slip joint regreasing fix.

Your first concern is a normal characteristic of a diesel most noted from someone coming from a gasser point of view then going to a diesel.

Also, there is the "tech folder" near the top of this forum that can give you more information and get you accustom to your diesel truck.

The puking of coolant is a process to find out why it is happening. Most start with the cap as the culpret but do a search here and find out just how deep that rabbit hole goes.

oh, and welcome to the forum!
