Could someone tell me what plug is on the end of your mirrors for 2002-2007 with heat, power, and signal? How many wires too.
Im looking at a set of these mirrors to replace my paddle mirrors. I have a 2001 and want to make sure i can make them work. I have power, heat and signal on mine.
You have 3 wires that control your mirror, and 2 wires that control the signals, 1 for the heat, and 1 for a ground. I can post up later when I get home of how to install them. It tells what color goes where...You will have 7 wires coming from the mirror....
Thanks for the info. I am going to take and look to see what wires i have. I have power, heat, and turns, but my passanger side dont have turn....not sure if the mirror was replaced without it before i got or not. Im assuming that it should have the turn on the passanger side.
Here ya go. I will tell you this, its a pain to get the wires through the door rubber thingy on the drivers side. I put 4 long wires together and used a metal clothes hanger that I had straighten and taped the wires to it.Then ran it through. That was the easiest way I found to do it. When I connected the turn signal wires,I connected to the wires in the column. I grounded to the closest places I could, and the heat just ran to a key on hot. The parking lights I used the one in the headlight switch. That way you don't have to run wires out under the hood....
The driver side is Ford, and the passenger side is aftermarket. The aftermarket fits a lot better than the factory. The only difference in the two are, 2 of the wires are different colors, other than that, I couldn't tell the difference between them.
