Some people experience more rumble at wide open throttle with the stright pipe. Also be aware of local or state laws regarding cheater pipes, you may not get it inspected..

Straight pipe will be louder at wot, like Mike said. I like the sound of straight pipe, but I've got to put the muff. back on when I get my inspection, thens she's straight again.

The only time I noticed a difference, was when I was in the passing lane, and someone was next to me, or there was a place for the exhaust to echo off of. Such as inside bridges, were the concrete wall is, or brick walls. Anything that can echo it back. All of which of course, was only noticeable when your hard into it.

IMO there's not much to be gained. I have a straight through muffler also, it still makes plenty o' noise.
