Actually, I think the only thing that is the same is the tailgate itself.

By cap I assume you are talking about what we call a topper here in IL and not a tonneau cover. It goes over the bed and is around the same hieght as the cab, if so no it will not. The cab of the F150 sticks out over top of the bed a little bit and the cap is different to go around that.

If memory serves me right the super duties with short box are 6' 9" long and the 150's are much shorter. I also think the super duties are much wider as when I went for mine it had to be a super duty model and nothing else.

Check your local Craigs List. I got mine off of Craigs List and paid less than half the price of a new one...and this one was only used a couple of times. It looks great. Craigs List is the way to go.

CL is a great spot to find toppers. I had three different choices when I got mine. 2 year old fiberglass topper with nice roof rack for 550 bucks.

150 wont really fit a 250. Tree damage a 06 150 cap, got it for free. I had to cut the bottom flange flush with mounting base so it would lay flat on my superduty bed. Was couple inches short at cab end of bed. Looked pretty generic. ok for a work beat em up truck! Did order a cap for 250,,, much better
