Anyone have a link to where they can get 1.5" primary 2.5" collector long tube headers? I would like to eventually get another set of headers for my 74' F-100 302ci. The headers I have on now are 1 5/8 primaries with 3" collectors which are not ideal but they were the only set I could find. I would like tri-y long tubes and have considered making my own set but its a lot of work.

quick question, don't mean to highjack the thread, but I have the same age/model truck with a 302.. except the PO put a 351w in. Will the 302 long tube headers meant for this truck bolt up?
All the Hookers with 2.5" collectors have 1.625" primaries. I have yet to find a 1.5" primary 2.5" collector header which I think would work best on my stock 302. The headers I do find with 1.5" primaries have 3" collectors....weird. Havn't seen any tri-y headers for my appl. though.
Ive got a set of 5.0 shorty headers on my motor now, compared to the long tubes i had on it, they make more power on the dyno. Across the board more, why??? I dont really understand it myself

The most common reason for this would be that the engine was not tuned properly for each set of headers. I can't count how many times I've heard people say that they lost power when putting on headers. When you asked them if they rejetted and optimized timing and such to take advantage you usually get a "deer in the headlights" look from them.
All the headers I see are listed to fit the 260, 289 and 302W. They do not list the 351W. 302W and 351W seem to use the same flanges and gaskets however. I don't really have much experience with the 351W. I don't know if 302W headers would work with a 351W hoepefully someone else can answer.
OK, everyone is telling me my '77 F150 4x4 will not fit ANY long tube headers and i'll have to get the mustang shorties if i want anything at all. What do you think? If I buy a set to check it out, how good is Summit's return policy if they wont work?
When i say get some...They might let you borrow then to see if they will fit... The mustang shops i go to have them off cars that they put the big tube headers on....You dont have to install them just hold them up & see if they fit & then you know..Lew
