Flowmaster has discontinued the old style 40 Series mufflers which had the awesome aggressive tone. All they offer now is the 40 Series DeltaFlow's which are alot quieter. If you want one of the older style, ya better hurry to you're local speed shop and hope they have some left on the shelf, Jeg's and Summit are both out of them and won't be getting more.

Well, from what the Flowmaster guys told me this weekend at the Jamboree, the DeltaFlows are an improved design and perform better. My question is: If they're so much better, why did they not drop the old style 5 years ago when they came out with the DeltaFlows instead of carrying on both lines?
I buy 50 flowmasters a month and was shocked to read that the 40's were discontinued. calling flowmaster i was pleased to find that they are still being made. many of the 40's have been superseeded by the deltas, but for that so sweet aggressive sound that the true duals offer, the 42441,21/4" or 42451,21/2" flows are still available and they sound nice.
